How to contribute
Recordings allow decision-by-decision comparison between the game and simulator.
Record and upload a run
- Install the STS2_PGN recorder mod and play a single-player run.
- Find the
.sts2pgnor.sts2pgn.gzfile inDocuments/sts2pgn, or the folder you configured for the mod. - Upload one or more recordings. You can also upload a
.zipor.tgzarchive.
Compatibility & public recordings
Supported game version: v0.107.1. Runs from other builds, multiplayer runs, and runs with gameplay-affecting mods are stored but not replayed yet.
Up to 80 MB per upload. Uploaded recordings are publicly listed and downloadable. A recording contains the run and its mod list.
What happens next?
The simulator checks your recorded actions and reports whether they reproduce exactly. A divergence or stopped replay helps identify what needs investigation.
You can separately request an available model to play the same seed, character, ascension and unlocks. It makes its own decisions without seeing your actions. Each combination can be requested once, including after a failed model run.
